Hello friends & family! I've been blessed with the amazing opportunity to attend a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and Fire & Fragrance from January 4th-June 8th 2018.
In this six month DTS, I'll be encountering Jesus, traveling the world, and seeing lives radically changed by love. The first three months are a lecture phase located at YWAM's base in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. The next three months are the outreach phase in which the students are divided into teams and sent all over the world. The location for my outreach phase will only be determined three weeks into the lecture phase.
I'll be following a specific track called Compassion Ablaze which focuses on demonstrating the love of Christ through acts of mercy. This track within DTS, has a heart for the margins of society and for issues of injustice – for women and children-at-risk, those caught in the trap of systemic poverty, those without a voice, the homeless, those struggling with life addictions, and those who have been sexually abused, trafficked or enslaved. We won't just talk about bringing the joy and freedom of the Gospel to the hard places, we’ll actually be doing it—doing whatever it takes to bring the presence and fragrance of heaven to those too often forgotten.
I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am for this life-changing opportunity to powerfully encounter God and take the joy, freedom, and immeasurable love I’ve found in Him to the broken hearts, hungry for His presence and healing love.
I need to raise a total of $12,000 to cover the full six months. $5,000 covers the lectures, housing, food, and transportation. $7,000 is for the outreach phase which covers airfare, visas, insurance, vaccinations, housing and food.
Would you be willing to partner with me in prayer and/or financial support? My goal is to be fully funded by Christmas Eve. I would be incredibly grateful for your support, however the Spirit leads you!
