Sarah's Shout
Donation protected
I’m sad to report that after a 3-year struggle with bowel cancer, my amazing wife Sarah has died.
She always considered herself to be exceedingly lucky to have such awesome, hilarious, brilliant, cheeky, thoughtful, smart, sporty children.
And it is because of these gorgeous girls that I write to you.
Sarah started a little memorial fund for them that she called MUM’s SHOUT.
The idea being that every time they think, “I wish mum was here for this”, they can dip into their MUM’S SHOUT account and I will be there in spirit.
She wanted them to be able to dip into it and let it be Mum’s Shout for events like
– First mani/pedi & other beautician things
– Prom/formal dress shopping
– Wedding dress shopping
– Nice outfit for first job interview
– Throwing their 18th or 21st birthday party
– Planning dinners to celebrate graduations or promotions
– Impromptu girls’ weekends away
– First car
– Furniture for their first flat
– Some sweet clothes, blankets for first babies.
Or even just something as simple as buying themselves some flowers or a dinner on mothers day so it doesn’t hurt so much.
If you were thinking of sending sympathy flowers Sarah would prefer that you contribute instead to her MUM’S SHOUT fund and help her with this legacy for her girls.
All funds raised will be withdrawn from GoFundMe and held in a private bank account, solely for the benefit of Sarah's daughters Alice and Niamh, with the funds raised being split evenly between the two.
Thank you for your kindness,
Anton Hughes (husband of Sarah, and father of Alice and Niamh)
