Internship and pilgrimage in India

As many of you know, and some may not, I have been on a journey with my education for the last couple years. During my 5 years in Maui teaching yoga, I became inspired to delve further into the holistic health realm and pursue and education program in California for Ayurveda.  I chose Ayurveda as my path because it is one of the most well rounded forms of holisitc medicine I have encountered.  This ancient medicine from India and Tibet focuces primarlily on nutrition and encorporates other types of natural medicine such as herbs, essential oils, massage, breathwork, yoga, meditation and emotional clearing.

In California, I studied with a brilliant teacher, DeAnna Batdorph, who makes this ancient science accessible to the masses.  With her I completed a clinical foundations course, was offered an honorable position as a lead intern, worked as her teaching assistant for the clinical program the following year, in addition to 4 advanced courses.  That same year I also acted as a lead intern running clinics, where we are able to help the community seek care, by donation.  I helped to run weekly pulse clinics, as well as digestive clinics and womens clinics.  One of my most charished memories was assisting my teacher run a weekend womens clinic where we provided free breast checks, and helped over 100 women, an offering she gives three times a year! In addition to the clinics,  I was responsible for leading treatment teams and assisting my teacher with high risk clients.  I graduated from the program with honors, 800 accumulated hours, close to 1000 patient encounters and recieved a national certification for Ayurveda, called a Wellness Counselor.

My long time aspiration and dream, is to open a healing center to serve my community and share my gifts and knowledge.  In order to do so, I need to complete one additional year of school.  At present, I am enrolled in an Ayurvedic Practitioner's program, as well as massage school.  I will be complete with massage school in March, and the practitioner's program will be complete next fall. The final step is a 3 week internship, which I have the option and desire to attend in India, the homeland of Ayurvedic Medicine.  This is where I need your help! I have managed to pay for my education thus far on my own.  However, with the monthly payments I am currently making for school, as well as all of life's other expenses, the trip to India seems just out of my reach. Will you help me with this final step and long term dream? It would mean oh so much! Blessings and Graititude to all who took the time to read this, and to any who are able to contribute! Thank you.
