Sarah's Half Marathon for women for water

We are all feeling the effects of COVID-19 in our lives. Now imagine what it would be like if you did not have access to clean water to wash your hands. This is the reality for many people around the world - including those within our own country's borders in the Navajo Nation, where 40% of residents are living without running water. 

This is why I am running a half-marathon (on Saturday, May 30, 2020) - to raise funds for women for water, a platform that is responding to this crisis by installing temporary handwashing stations with soap so people can wash their hands, distributing personal protective equipment, and working with local organizations to prevent the spread of the virus. Donations will go directly to women for water's emergency response fund to support ongoing projects in the Navajo Nation, Egypt, Georgia (country), Kenya, Rwanda, and Pakistan to support the health and safety of the people who live there. 

Please donate either per mile (13.1 miles total) at the rate of $1/mile to $5/mile or consider donating a lump-sum through this website. All funds go directly to Global Water Challenge's (501(c)(3)) women for water platform and will have a 100% match - meaning that for every dollar we raise, our generous donor will match it with a dollar.


Here is what your per-mile donation means: 
- $1/mile = $13 + 100% match = $26 total 
- $2/mile = $26 + 100% match = $52 total 
- $3/mile = $39 + 100% match = $78 total 
- $4/mile = $52 + 100% match = $104 total 
-$5/mile = $65 +  100% match = $130 total
