Sarah and Mat's Family Help Fund

Sarah and Matt are hard-working parents to two Amazing boys, Liam (8) and Ivor (3). Sarah drives Special-Needs Children to and from School and Mathew works as a Journeyman Sheet Metal worker. After two early losses and one loss at 19 weeks, Sarah and Mat are expecting their 3rd child. On April 8th they are excited for a girl to bring their beautiful family to 5. There is a cloud over their excitement however, because of the news they received at a recent detailed ultrasound. The ultrasound showed that their baby girl’s heart has developed 3 defects. Tricuspid Atresia, Transposition of the Greater Arteries and a VSD have made it necessary for the Bournes to relocate away from their family, to Edmonton March 15th, for a few months for the delivery and After Care. In order to focus all their effort on ensuring Baby Ophelia’s health and the well-being of Liam and Ivor, neither Sarah or Mat will be able to work for the duration of this upheaval. As well as the emotional stresses involved, this also adds financial stress to a situation where they want to focus all of their energy on taking care of their family. Because we know how much our communities care about this wonderful family we are asking for any donations to help make this transition as smooth and relatively stress free as possible. We are hoping to raise money to help them with their bills in Calgary, Gas, Groceries and a vehicle payment as Sarah will lose access to an important mode of transportation with her inability to work. We want to do this to help make their life easier during this trying time and in a show of their generosity and humbleness any extra money above and beyond these things will go to the wonderful Ronald McDonald House Charity, the organization that will be providing the Bourne’s with an immense amount of care during this difficult time.
