Sarah and David Rodriguez family

Sarah and David were highschool sweethearts and married with dreams of a big family and they are well on their way to seeing that dream come true. They will be married 11 years this October and they have had their share of struggles and blessings along the way with the first 3 blessings all being born early. Gavin the oldest, turning 9 years in October was born the earliest at 31 weeks, but what a miracle he was and has been! Olivia will be 4 years old in August and Jonah will be 2 years in September. Happily and unexpectedly, Sarah and David are expecting their 4th blessing who's due date was suppose to be on daddy's birthday October 8th, but Sarah's water has broken at 29 weeks. Before I tell you how Sarah and baby are I want to tell you a little more about their life since marriage and children and some of the struggles. Both David and Sarah have worked throughout their marriage. With lots of prayers, Sarah recently quit her job while pregnant due to some spotting and weight restrictions and has recently started home schooling Gavin over the Summer. David is a very hard worker and tries to provide for his growing family, he works a fulltime job at Fareway and several other parttime jobs to make ends meet. After Gavin was born 9 weeks early and all the driving back and forth, the stress and expense of that they were happy to be blessed with another bundle of joy named Olivia, but shortly after Olivia arrived a pretty good storm hit Marshalltown damaging their home's roof among other things. While making repairs David fell from the roof onto concrete and was blessed to be alive, but spent time in the hospital, missed a substantial amount of work,  had several surgeries and was left with large medical and other bills. They made it through that struggle with grateful hearts to all who prayed them through and helped in so many ways. Along came their Jonah blessing and after 2 emergency c-sections with the first 2, Sarah was able to deliver him naturally by God's grace! As most probably know Marshalltown, Iowa was recently hit by a tornado, their home was not affected, praise God! But, one of David's parttime jobs was and it was a nice percentage of their income right now and he is unsure how long it will be until he will be able to return to this job. Sarah and David have made it through many other struggles by their faith and trust in the Lord and they know He has a plan. They had been in the process of looking for a van because the PT Cruiser Sarah drives right now just barely fits the 3 kids in the backseat with 2 carseats and a booster and there is no way to fit another person, much less an infant in another carseat, but now especially with another loss of income they are trying to figure out how to afford a van before October when the baby was suppose to be due. Sarah and baby are doing well at the University of Iowa Hospital. The baby is very active with a steady and strong heart beat, but her water is broke and they think she is dilated to between 1-2 cm with the ultrasound saying the baby had flipped and was now breach and with the goal of trying to get the baby to 34 weeks before delivering Sarah will have to stay in the hospital until she delivers and then after delivery the baby will stay for as of now an undetermined amount of time in the NICU. The doctors have given all of us the "what if's" and told us the many risks. We are first giving thanks and praise to God for all He has already done and is still doing and about to do! We are secondly asking for everyone's prayers for both Sarah and the baby to stay healthy, safe, for Sarah to not go into labor at least until the 34 week mark and for the baby to flip once again to the head down position for a safe and natural delivery. Thirdly we are asking for help to raise funds from family, friends, friends of friends and whomever would feel led to help to not only get Sarah and David the very much needed van, but also they need help with all the expenses of Sarah being over an hour and a half from home in the University of Iowa Hospital, gas back and forth not only while she herself is there, but after their 4th little blessing arrives and is staying in the NICU. Parking is quite expensive even with a voucher, you sure can't just come and go either. There will be time David may need to be off work during Sarah's stay, before and after baby's arrival. David and the kid's food expenses while visiting Sarah. Any unforeseen costs along the way as well. They have insurance, but as we all know that sometimes does not cover everything. Please prayerfully consider helping the Rodriguez family during this time and before the baby comes. No offering of a blessings is considered too small or too big, every amount helps and we would be grateful for. Please also consider sharing this on all your social media outlets and ask all your family and friends to share it as well, the more people who share it the more people will see it and have the opportunity to prayerfully consider blessing this deserving family. Thank you in advance for your prayers, well wishes, sharing of this gofundme page and any donations. Should you wish to send Sarah notes, letters or cards of encouragements here is where you can send those. Sarah Rodriguez University of Iowa Hospital Mother of Baby Unit 6th Floor 6JPP 200 Hawkins Drive IA City, IA 52242 I know she would welcome any family or friends who may want to drive that distance to visit her as well.
