Tammie's Leukemia Fund
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
Two years ago, my sister (Aunt Tammie to Carlea and Alissa) was diagnosed with a rare and potentially fatal condition: her bloodstream is infected with black mold disease. Stunned, Tammie called to say that even the specialists were mystified; only those who have severely compromised immune systems are susceptible to "invasive aspergillosis", or disseminated black mold.
Our worries continued as her illness slowly worsened, yet months dragged on with no definite diagnosis. Recently, we learned that Tammie is suffering from a rare form of leukemia, Multiple Myeloma. It causes bones to fracture and kidneys to fail, all happening now.
After the staggering loss of my brother (Uncle Greg) to sepsis less than three weeks ago, we are in deep grief, but we must not let it stop us from moving towards hope for Tammie. She deperately needs help with her medical, housing, and transportation costs. With a lack of affordable housing and only bus transportation, Tammie is hoping to repair her car so that she can drive herself to and from her chemotherapy appointments. She is also hoping to afford an apartment closer to her oncologist's office in Fayetteville, Arkanasas. Finally, we hoping that she will be able to afford her medications.
Our ultimate hope is that Tammie will be able to enter a Multiple Myeloma drug trial leading to a cure. If you are able to donate, any amount, we would be so grateful.
Sincerely,
Diana, Andrew, Carlea, and Alissa Winkler
