In the early hours of the morning on Sunday, October 18th, Summit High School Pre-Collegiate senior Cristian Santiago was in a car accident on I-70 East of Summit County. As the back seat passenger, Cristian suffered life threatening injuries after the car rolled several times.
Cristian is currently at the Children's Hospital of Colorado, improving daily. His parents, Beto and Rocelia, have been at his side in the hospital day and night, and his 10th grade brother Anthony is attending SHS while also supporting his family.
His family is so appreciative of the support of the Summit community. We are raising money to support this family who has been a part of Summit County for the past 18+ years. Cristian attended Upper Blue Elementary and then he and Anthony both attended Breckenridge Elementary School and Summit Middle School before entering SHS.
This will be a long road to recovery for Cristian, and any and all ongoing support will be crucial.
