Sang's Funeral & Memorial Fund

The parent board of Overland High School Instrumental Music has a mission statement that begins, "We are a family that turns no one away".  This past weekend one of our shining stars was taken from us too early.  Sanghyuk Kim was shot and killed on November 26th.   Every parents greatest fear is losing a child, for the Kim family, that nightmare has become their reality.   There is nothing we can say that can ease their unbelievable pain, but we can help with the burden of funeral expenses.  Our music family is asking for any financial assistance that you can provide.  We also ask for your prayers to help this family as they begin the long journey of healing.

For those of you that did not have the pleasure of meeting this young man, let me share with you an example of who he was. When Sang was a freshman he intruduced the band students to his culture by sharing "ILove You" in Korean.  He would make the shape of a heart by placing his fingertips on top of his head, arms arched to his sides.   With a big smile he would tell students, "I love you" to make them smile and brighten their day.  That smile will be greatly missed.
