It takes a village to raise a family - even in the best circumstances. But when life throws one curve ball after another at you, it takes a community to come together and support one another. St. John Paul II often said that "suffering unleashes great love". I have had the blessing of meeting a new friend, and she is suffering. She is mother of one of my daughter's classmates and friends, and she is battling stage IV, metastatic breast cancer, raising her daughter as a single mom, and is now no longer able to work. We are starting a GoFundMe for her and I am sharing it here - with my network of friends and hopefully yours we can come together to help this beautiful woman and her daughter. They need support in so many ways...financially, emotionally, and spiritually. She is currently undergoing 30 days of intense radiation on her brain and pelvis.  She has so many worries on her heart and if we can eliminate the burden of paying her rent and bills until her disability kicks in it would give her some peace.
