                                My Road to Esquire

Hello Friends and Family,

History
Most of you know my road to Esquire has had its ups and downs, but in spite of my obstacles, I always refused to give up and wouldn't take no for an answer.  Now that I've found a reasonably priced tutor to help me prepare for the exam, I'm back on my quest to become what I've wanted to be for many years- a Trust & Estates (T&E) Attorney.  

I found my calling in the most unusual way when I was in law school.  Faced with the news that my father was dying, I sought the legal advice of the best T&E attorney/ friend that I knew.  Throughout my ordeal, I realized the main purpose of being a T&E Attorney was to assist people in preparing and executing  legal documents pertaining to their financial, life and health decisions.  
At that point, I discovered that I wanted to pursue it in my legal career.  I call it my "Ah-ha" moment.  I didn't realize how much I enjoyed the work until I was engrossed in the nuts and bolts.  

Prior to my father's death he asked me to do one thing-to promise that I'd be the best attorney that I could be.  Passing the UBE will allow me to make that promise a reality. 

I'm sitting for the Uniform Bar Exam in February 2018.  Studying for the bar exam is a full-time job.  It's recommended that one does not work so that there's ample time to  prepare and pass.  I'd very much like to stop working full-time so that I can devote 100% of my time to study for the exam.  I need to make sure my focus is solely on the exam and not focused on my finances.  All of the funds raised will be used to cover the exam preparation fees and living expenses.  

Ideally, I'd like to achieve this goal by January 15, 2018.  But, in order to make this dream a reality, I need your help to finance these costs.

A personal tutor allows me to have a one-on-one learning experience focused on maintaining my strengths and improving my weaknesses.

Hotel stay of 4 days for the exam (including meals and transport)= $1,000 (estimate)

The hotel stay for the duration of the exam is highly encouraged to avoid distractions and/or travel issues. 

Living expenses (utilities and food for the duration of my study period)=$2,500
