Sandorah's Medical Expenses

Donation protected

A few weeks ago, Sandorah was roughly played with by a local dog from the neighborhood; the owner of this dog is unknown at this time. After the incident, Sandorah started to experience some limping. A few days later, the limping subsided and she seemed to be her usual self.

Since cooler weather was coming, Sandorah started to lose her summer coat. Her owner, Matthew Boyd, began to groom her and noticed a lump on the side of her hip. At first, he believed it was a patch of fur that needed groomed, but once he touched it, he soon realized it was an actual mass, and not her fur.

Sandorah was then taken to a veterinary clinic where they had diagnosed her with a Hematoma. They believed the Hematoma was caused by an injury to that part of the body. We believe the injury that caused the Hematoma was from the dog that roughly played with her; the Hematoma developed on the same leg/hip that she was limping on. It was advise to schedule surgery soon, as it could be serious since it was big in size.

This morning, October 10th, Sandorah was set for surgery. When the vetrinarian began surgery, he was unable to stop the bleeding. Due to the limitations of the vetrinary clinic selected, Sandorah had to be rushed to the University Vetrinary Specialists (Vet Hospital) in McMurray, PA. There, it was discovered, that her plasma count was extremely low and was preventing her blood from clotting.

Before any type of surgery can be performed to locate the bleed, Sandorah has to be stabilized, her plasma count has to be raised, and her vitals need to improve.

Sandorah is currently at the Vet Hospital, with 24/7 visitation, and is being stabilized.

This campaign is to help aid in the very expensive medical costs due to stabilizing her, increasing her plasma, and the surgery to come.

Any and all donations are welcome and appreciated.
