Samuel J. Vise passed from this earth on July 30, 2018 leaving behind many family and friends that will miss him dearly. In Memoriam of losing a cherished son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend, we are establishing a fund to benefit a cherished part of his life: Boy Scout Troop 16 in Tulsa, OK. The purpose of this fund is to provide an annual college scholarship for an outstanding Troop 16 Scout as well as to encourage Scouts to achieve above and beyond the standard requirements of Boy Scout advancement.
Sam joined the Boy Scouts in first grade and was actively involved through his senior year. He attained the hard-earned rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 16, earning 36 merit badges, the Bronze, Gold and Silver Palms, and Order of the Arrow, Brotherhood member. For his Eagle project, he undertook the renovation of the Edison High School Cross Country locker room for his beloved team. He had many outdoor adventures as a Scout, including venturing into God’s wonder, Philmont Scout Ranch in northern New Mexico. Through these experiences and by spending time with his family and friends, Boy Scouts helped mold him into the fine young man he became.
Please help us foster and reward exemplary behavior and results by giving to this purpose. Any amount makes a difference and if you are able to make an annual commitment, this will help keep his memory alive for years to come. All proceeds will be used strictly for its' intended purpose: for the motivation of Troop 16 Scouts.
