Sadly, Samuel Chua passed away today.

Update: Unfortunately after a month and a half in the hospital, Samuel passed away today. Angelina will be trying to plan the funeral and could use your support as she mourns the loss of her husband :(

. My name is Gena and I am setting up a funddraiser to help a very close friend of mine and my family, Angelina Chua. Her husband Juan Samuel is currently fighting for his life in the hospital unable to breathe on his own.
Samuel was on high amounts of oxygen for  about 2 weeks and was getting treatment for Covid19. His condition worsened and he developed a pneumonia on top of the Coronavirus. He wasn’t able to eat because he could not to breathe well enough. Because his condition became so severe, the doctors determined he needed  to be fully ventilated. He could no longer tolerate breathing on his own. It has been 5 days now on the ventilator and they are unable to wean him off at this time.  Everyone is praying for a positive outcome but his prognosis is still unknown.

Angelina is struggling. Samuel is her everything. They have been married for 42 years and it is just the two of them. They are both incredibly kind and selfless people. I have entrusted Angelina to care for all 3 of my      children because I know how much she loves   them and would never ever do anything to put them in harms way. My kids love her very much as well!

So I am asking for your help. The financial burden of the medical expenses, food, rent,and the anxiety of costs to come is already taking a toll on Angelina. She has so much to worry about and also fears for the love of her life.  She can’t visit him in the hospital at this time or advocate for his medical care in-person due to Covid19 restrictions. Samuel needs to be able to focus on his health/recovery and not worry about the financial strain that Angelina is dealing with in his absence .
