Sammy Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund
Tax deductible
Unfortunately, the Sammy Taylor Memorial Scholarship 11th Annual Clay Shoot scheduled for Saturday, July 25th has been CANCELLED. Our normal shooting event will resume in the spring of 2021. We will continue to sell our current gun tickets and draw for the guns at our spring clay shooting event. We have scholarship applications from our 2020 graduating class to be awarded at the EMC Fair and Rodeo in September (provided no pandemic restrictions).
This year has affected our community, socially and economically. Our seniors have experienced many disappointments this year and we want to continue our fundraising efforts to support our 2020 applicants. Each year, most of the money raised by STMS is distributed to the current year scholarship recipients, leaving only enough money to cover expenses for the following year. In order to continue fundraising to support and award scholarships to our 2020 applicants, a “GO FUND ME” account has been formed to supplement the shortfall of the STMS fund.
We appreciate our gracious community who continually support our efforts to provide scholarships to the graduating students of East Montgomery County.
Thank you!
