Sammy the Superhero

On Thursday February 27, Emily got a call that no parent wants to receive. There has been an accident and your child has been seriously injured. Sammy was sound asleep when a car drove through the window at his daycare and ran him over. When the paramedics reached Sam he was unconscious. Sams injuries were so severe that it required him being medivac’d to CHOP for better care for children. 

From the accident Sam has a laceration on his liver, broken ribs, bruised lungs, lots of bumps and bruises and a fractured hip. Although he has been released he will need to use a wheelchair and/or walker to get around and will be in need of PT until he can walk on his own. 

Emily will not be able to work as she will needto stay home with Sam and help him heal. With that being said her income will be cut short and she still will need to provide for her other2 amazing kids and pay the medical bills as they start to come in.
