Samar Khan's Adventure Athletics Stores

This is Samar Khan, an adventure athlete. She is the first woman in the world to cycle atop 4,500m high Biafo Glacier in the Karakoram Mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan. She has been promoting sports like mountain biking and snowboarding for 6 years in Pakistan. Coming from a small village in north (Khyber Pukhtunkhwa), she has experienced how sports, especially mountain biking has transformed her life magically, that’s why through her cycling camps, she intends to empower other women and young girls in terms of commute & physical strength.

The goal is to set permanent cycling stores around her home town in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa dedicated for women and young girls and set training camps to introduce bicycling culture and inspire them to be professional cyclists.

There is a majority of women and young girls in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa who have not even touched a bicycle yet, let alone riding it.

Three stores will be opened in three different remote regions, to include Chitral, Dir and Swat. Bicycles will be purchased with safety gears and training camps will be conducted to sustain this culture and to encourage the local women and girls.
