Parco giochi scuola /playground
New playground in Samaladivi, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, India
Dear friends & colleagues,
I'm raising funds to build a new playground for the little ones next to the school in this poor village and I need your help. I just got back from Samaladivi- most of the people here live in poverty, without water or electricity, so there isn't any money for toys. At home, all these children have to play with are sticks and old tires.
The existing playground, built more than 10 years ago, is in really poor shape and all the items are broken - as you can see in the photos below. We have already started work to repair the slide and the swing but we want to buy five new items for the kids. The total, as you can see in the quote, is 95,000 rupees plus another 15,000 for painting and garden plants (110,000 rupees in total, about 1.430 euros).
As many of you know, two years ago we started 'Progetto Uma', a sponsorship program to support disadvantaged children in the area who cannot afford to pay for the school. The additional funds raised throughout the year barely cover medical emergencies and we therefore don't have any money left for other projects.
This is the only safe space these kids have to play and you have no idea how important it is for them. Would you support us and help us make their dream come true? Every little bit helps. Sto raccogliendo fondi per costruire un nuovo parco giochi per i piccoli della scuola e ho bisogno di una mano. La maggior parte degli abitanti di questo villaggio in India vive in condizioni di grande povertà, senza elettricità né acqua potabile. A casa, tutto quello che questi bambini hanno per giocare sono delle vecchie ruote.
I giochi che vedete nelle foto, comprati più di dieci anni fa, sono ormai tutti rotti. Abbiamo già iniziato e pagato i lavori per riparare lo scivolo e l'altalena ma vorremmo acquistare altri cinque giochi per i 540 bimbi che frequentano la scuola. Il totale é di 110.000 rupie (circa 1430 euro) - di cui 95.000 per i nuovi giochi e 15.000 per la verniciatura e le piante.
Come tanti di voi sanno, da due anni tramite Progetto Uma sosteniamo con il vostro aiuto alcuni dei bambini della scuola che non possono permettersi di studiare. Gli altri fondi che raccogliamo durante l'anno bastano a malapena a coprire le continue emergenze mediche e non abbiamo più soldi per gli altri progetti.
Questo è l'unico spazio sicuro che i bambini hanno per giocare e non avete idea di quanto sia importante per loro. Ci date una mano a fargli questo regalo? Anche un piccolo aiuto vuol dire tanto. Se non potete donare potete comunque aiutarci condividendo su Facebook e su Twitter. Grazie di cuore!
