Mi nombre es Ibis Lara (Lali) y pido tu ayuda para salvar mi negocio. Estoy en él por más de 40 años y soy dueña desde el 1998. Es un restaurante de comida dominicana ubicado en la 630 10th Ave, New York NY 10036. Este lugar es mi vida completa y me entristece tener que cerrarlo por una deuda acumulada de renta debido a la pandemia. He luchado por mantenerlo pero los gastos han superado los ingresos durante este tiempo tan crítico que todos hemos vivido. Este lugar ha visto nacer y crecer a mis hijos y ha servido comida a miles de personas que vienen en búsqueda del sabor típico dominicano. Este es un lugar que acoje a las tantas nacionalidades que existen en New York, especialmente a los latinos que buscan ese sabor de comida que les recuerde lo que es estar en casa en un país extranjero.

 

Desafortunadamente, la renta acumulada es de $96,300 y no pude obtener ninguna ayuda ofrecida durante la pandemia. Hoy día recibí una carta del arrendador dándome pocos dias para pagar o se procederá a un desalojo. Después de 40 años de esfuerzo, vengo a ti para que me ayudes a mantener abierto este pedacito dominicano en New York y seguir alimentando a tantas personas que buscan de este sabor caribeño.

 

Este lugar es mi vida, mis esfuerzos, mi dedicación. Sé que con tu ayuda puedo continuar. Gracias por existir.

 

My names Ibis Lara (Lali) and I ask for your support to save my business. I have been in it for over 40 years and have owned it since 1998. It is a Dominican food restaurant located at 630 10th Ave, New York NY 10036. This place is my whole life and I am sad to have to close it due to an accumulated debt of rent due to the pandemic. I have struggled to maintain it but expenses have exceeded the income during this very critical time that we have all lived. This place has seen my children be born and grow and has served food to thousands of people who come in search of the typical Dominican flavor. This is a place that welcomes the many nationalities that exist in New York, especially Latinos who are looking for that taste of food that reminds them of what it is like to be at home in a foreign country.

 

Unfortunately, the accumulated rent is $96,300 and I was not able to get any assistance offered during the pandemic. Today I received a letter from the landlord giving me a few days to pay or an eviction will proceed. After 40 years of effort, I come to you to ask for help to keep this little piece of Dominican food open in New York and continue feeding so many people who are looking for this Caribbean flavor.

 

This place is my life, my efforts, my dedication. I know that with your help I can continue. Thank you for existing.
