Sound Engineering for SalmonFolk Radio Podcasts

Donation protected

SALMONFOLK WHO?
Salmonfolk Radio is the world's first podcast series dedicated to the removal of open net salmon fish farms around the globe. The series will  include contemporary interviews with anti salmon farm allies around the globe in combination with a story driven travelogue feature based on my journeys from NC (USA) to British Columbia.

The truth about farmed salmon is stranger than fiction and this podcast will help you find out why.

THE WHAT?
Salmonfolk Radio Needs Executive Producers to help cover the all important sound mastering and sound design costs.

THE SOUND DESIGN!
I am working with a sound engineer who has produced shows for BBC, and NPR. It's going to sound great! But only with some help from you. My sound guy is the talented Jay Siebold . The first episode I managed to cover...we needed a pilot episode as a proof of concept. TAKE A LISTEN

THE ASK!
Each episode is approximately $350 for the sound design. This fundraiser is to cover at least 10 episodes.

SEEKING EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS!
For a full donation of $350 for each 25-45 minute episode anyone can become an executive producer. Your name will be called out in the episode you helped bring to reality and will be heard by (hopefully) thousands of listeners.

SEEKING CO-EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS!
Every donation counts. When your donation is combined with others towards the sum of $350 then the names of all the donors for that episode will be called out.

PODCAST CREATION SCHEDULE
Everytime I hit another $350 I get another episode ready for release.
When I have 4 fully sound mastered episodes, then we finally launch the series!
The task of funding the remainder will hopefully become easier as more listeners come on board.

BACKSTORY

About two years ago, right here on Gofundme, donors helped me raise $2,190. With that money I travelled from the east coast of the USA to spend 8 days on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.  I went there to meet with indigenous activists, scientists and dedicated front line anti-salmon fish farm warriors.  While there I was embedded with a group of storytellers from Norway who were there performing a show called "Being Salmon, Being Human"...this show was a 120 minute powerhouse of magic, music, science and storytelling. The message was based on the book of the same title and it's all about saving wild salmon, reconnecting with nature, and how open net salmon farms are crashing ecosystems across the planet.  That whole experience will form the travelogueepisodes. And current topic interviews will be featured throughout, giving the listener an inside track to what's really going on with salmon farming.
