Salmo Maintenance Fund

Since the club has been closed, we have unfortunately missed out of some vital dates that are usually in the calendar for raising vital funds, bar receipts and events, and we have been unable to run our planned Spring fundraiser.  The different businesses that use our facilities (clubhouse, grounds and portacabins) have likewise been challenged during this period.  Some continue to be in a position to support us for which we are thankful, but most are not able.  All of these contributions normally allow us to cover club expenditures incurred over the winter and cover summer maintenance , and to finish out our season with our books (hopefully) in the black.  As you can imagine this is not achievable for the past season.  At this time of the year, we would also expect our core of club sponsors to start to contribute to the club, however a number of our own sponsors’ businesses have been affected by the pandemic and they are not in a position currently to be able to support the club.  As a result, we have seen a loss of projected incomes and fundraising in the past few months.

In light of this, we feel the need to come to our membership and supporters to ask for your help in this regard.  Had the club been able to open until the end of the season, we are sure most would have contributed these funds through raffles, the club spring fundraiser and spending money in the club shop and bar.  We are asking you instead to support our GoFundMe initiative to try and enter the new season as debt free as possible.

We understand in these times, not everyone will be in a position to contribute however, in the case, every cent counts.
