Medical Expenses for Salma

Hello friends,
Our beloved family who owns and operates Calabash Market has fallen on some incredibly difficult and frightening times. Their 5 year old daughter, Salma, has a very servere case of pnuemonia and at this time only one lung is working. After going to the clinic on STJ twice, she was transported to St. Thomas where she stayed for several days. This week Ali and Maria were told there was nothing else that could be done on St. Thomas. With the Puerto Rico hospital at capacity they had no choice but to fly to Miami. They took an air ambulance during the night of 11/20-11/21 and arrived at Miami early on 11/21. There is no current prognosis but we will keep you informed as there is more information. The expenses for this time will be extrememly high and so it is time for St. John to do what we do best - take care of one another. While Ali and Maria are doing their best with the expenses we know how this will be skyrocketing in costs.
