Salazar's Emergency Medical Costs

Donation protected
Our cat Salazar, or Buddha as we call him, had an emergency hospital visit this past weekend because he could not urinate. The poor baby was in a lot of pain and waiting to get him help was not an option. Unfortunately that meant a *much* larger vet bill than what it would have been at our regular vet's office, which is where we transferred him to this morning.

Update:
Thankfully he's gonna be okay, the team at the animal hospital was able to get him unblocked with a urinary catheter. He will be staying with our vet for a few more days though for fluids, meds, and observation.

Amount:
At minimum, the animal hospital bill is $2,200. We will know the final amount once the paperwork has been finalized by the vet who saw him there. There's no way to know how much it will be at our vet until he's discharged most likely Thursday. My guess is it'll be around $6-700. I'll keep this updated and post receipts as I get them.

Finances:
The two of us are supported by my partner's one income. We do fine, but this is just such a massive, unexpected additional cost. I'm in the process of applying for ssdi (disability) and there's no guarantee of on that even if I'm approved. Any help in covering these vet bills will help lighten the load tremendously.
