I have cancer, cancer does not have me-SageTheRage

We post with a heartbreaking update. Glenn, Sage's husband, passed away suddenly on the 22nd of july. All that knew him are heartbroken.  We ask your help to keep Sage with us and say our goodbyes to Glenn.
The news of Glenn's passing left us devastated and the only thing we can do now is give his beloved wife the best chance there is to survive and live honouring his memory.

Sage needs your help, she wants to live.  Not just live but thrive!  She wants to remain her vibrant, lively, sassy self as Sage The Rage not Sag the Rag.

Glenn's darling wife, and  our dear friend, Sage has an aggressive form of breast cancer.  Part of her treatment is paid for by their insurance but sadly most of it they have to pay themselves, upfront, as each chemo round begins and their co-pay for chemo drugs is ridiculously expensive.  Sage and Glenn already paid to begin all the necessary pre-chemo tests, biopsies, MRIs, CT scans, etc... from their savings but it's not enough.

The stress of the cost of cancer can be as much a killer as the disease itself.  Cancer may not be the death sentence it once was but it is still very much a debt sentence!

Her chemo therapy will run for 18 months with 6 hour sessions per round, followed by surgery, then targeted external radiation at five days per week for 3 months.  She'll successfully ensure her continual triumph by taking daily cancer inhibiting meds for 5-10 years to maintain the destruction of the malicious cells.

Sage needs this treatment to stay alive, to be around for her hubby, family and friends.  She has always been the strong one lending a hand to those in need of help, now she needs your helping hand.

Sage has donated her long hair (down past her belt line) to "Wigs & Wishes", a women's & children's cancer organization.  "Visible Changes" hair salon located in San Antonio, TX  washed, dried,  braided and cut her hair then shaved her head in preparation for her donation and treatment.  "Visible Changes" has also fit Sage for a wig to wear for occasions when chemo beanies, scarves are not appropriate or permitted.

So please, by helping Sage pay for her treatment and extending her life you are also helping everyone who loves her to create many new memories to come rather than having only memories gone by to sustain them.

Thank You For Caring!
