Safety from Toxic Family and Homelessness

I am trying to maintain freedom and independence from my toxic family. I was raised in an environment of abuse and have been homeless in the past, and am now facing homelessness again. I am seeking help because I am trying to avoid future homelessness or reliance on my abusive family, either of which would be extremely dangerous and detrimental.  A little about me: I am disabled with multiple severe mental health issues (C-PTSD, DID, psychosis) and waiting to hear back from UI or SSDI in The States. I'm looking for stable work, and working hard to maintain my independence. I am a member of the queer community, an artist (writing, visual art, and music), plan to return to school to become a social worker as I have a passion for helping people, and want to foster or adopt older kids someday.
