Turning Wounds into Wisdom
Help End Violence Against Women and Families

Context

The Safe World Summit on Oct. 22nd & 23rd is an unprecedented global gathering of 30 renowned thought leaders, innovators, inspiring survivors and change makers from a variety of disciplines and life experiences.  Your donation will offer a  unique, transformative opportunity for survivors to attend the summit and break isolation, share their experience and discover ways to heal while networking and learning from some of the world’s top experts.

How You Can Help

We want to see the Round Room at the Mansion House filled with survivors and those who support them to hear what our speakers have to say and to be part of the conversation about what has to change to make the world safe and equal again.

The Challenge
One of the issues for the survivors of family and intimate partner violence is gaining the confidence to venture back into “normal” life. The physical and emotional turmoil caused as a result of the violence often destroys lives and creates financial hardship. This is why your donation will make such a difference.

- Your donation will firstly allow the survivor to attend the summit and as a result, will offer them the opportunity be part of the conversation about what has to change to make the world safe and equal again.

- Your donation will give survivors a platform at the Safe World Summit to have their voices heard, to collaborate, to connect and to heal. Together we will understand new ways to heal, build resilience and restore the balance of equality.

Event Sponsorship
Safe Ireland is delighted to have proportional sponsorship of the event and as part of our fundraising strategy we are using crowdfunding to further support our funding goal.  Your donation on this platform will  facilitate access for the huge number of survivors who wish to attend, and will benefit significantly from the event.  As a non profit organisation, Safe Ireland is proud and thankful to all the donors whose resources allow us host the summit.  By donating money, you are giving a voice to survivors of violence and you are giving survivors the opportunity to share in an inspirational, life enhancing event.

Summit Information
We are honoured and delighted to be joined by such speakers, as Dr. Edith Eger, a remarkable 91 year old Holocaust Survivor, Clinical Psychologist, and International Best Selling Author of the ‘The Choice: Embrace the Impossible.’ Other speakers include Dr. Riane Eisler, an advocate for the societal benefits of a caring economy, Lynn Rosenthal, former White House Adviser to President Obama on Violence Against Women, and Marai Larasi, international advocate and activist who accompanied actress Emma Watson to the Golden Globes this year in recognition of her work for ethnic minority women. They are convening with us in Dublin to share their expertise, tell their stories, present their analysis, and to collectively delve into the solutions and the innovative responses that are needed to end violence against women and families.
