Repairs at our Casa de Ninos home for Foster Boys

At Kern Bridges, we aim to provide responsive solutions and trauma-informed care to vulnerable foster children by providing them with a safe place to call home and opportunities to heal, learn, grow, and have fun.

Nestled among the orange groves outside of McFarland, CA—a place called Casa de Ninos, is home to twelve foster boys. We strive to provide these resilient young souls with more than just a roof over their heads, a place where their dreams can take flight and their spirits soar.

Casa de Ninos, located on 1.66 acres, holds incredible potential to transform the lives of these boys. However, it requires our collective support to become the nurturing environment they deserve.

We have identified critical areas in need of attention to ensure their safety and well-being:

Septic Tank System: The outdated septic tank system demands immediate attention to maintain a healthy and sanitary living environment.

Hazardous Trees and Shrubbery: Four towering black pines and the dangerous shrubbery surrounding them threaten their safety. It is our duty to remove these potential hazards.

Back Patio Compliance Upgrade: Cracked and unsafe, the back patio requires upgrading to meet compliance standards and provide a secure outdoor space for the boys.

Sports Court: Recreation plays a vital role in their development. We dream of building a sports court, giving them the opportunity for exercise, fun, and healthy competition.
