Prayers for Sade Khamassi

In February 2018, my wife Sade made an appointment to see an ophthalmologist due to frequent headaches and blurry vision in both eyes. After the examination, they found that her nerves were swollen in the back of her eyes. She went for imaging and the radiologist contacted her neurologist who sent her immediately to the ER.

She underwent surgery that same night to remove the grapefruit sized tumor, which was successful. But, with further pathology testing, she was later diagnosed with Glioblastoma (GBM) Grade 4. As a result, she will be having to undergo 6 ½ weeks of chemotherapy with radiation then chemotherapy for 1 week up to 6 months.

For those of you who know her, you know that she is an extraordinary human being. She is upbeat, loving, unbelievably strong willed and puts her friends and family first. She is the proud mother of an amazing two-year old named Annika.

In the past few weeks, Sade has been in and out of labs, CT scans, & MRI’s, all to find out that at the age of 30 she is facing a life expectancy prognosis.   

Because of this, she is unable to work and will likely not be able to return for quite some time. Short term disability unfortunately doesn’t provide full pay. Some of her medical expenses are not covered and with the everyday necessities of life, money becomes an added stressor. As many of you know, Sade is a very private person and as much as she wants to keep this to herself and deal with it, she has asked God to give her the strength to ask for help. Whether it is prayer, reaching out, or helping to offset costs associated with this diagnosis. This by far isn’t the easiest thing to do, but we are asking any and all of our friends and family to support us in our time of need. All donations go towards medical expenses and treatments.
