Sadaqah Jariyah for Shahrose Saleem Nawaz

Donation protected
In the Qur’an, specifically Surah Baqarah Ayat 156 it states, “Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return”.

Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem
(In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Gracious)

Shahrose Saleem Nawaz left this world on Sunday 12th June 2022 as a victim of a tragic car accident. I do not have many words to describe how this has hit us as a family and how our world has turned upside down but we find peace in knowing he is considered a martyr (shaheed).

The Quran mentions this hierarchy of righteous people in the following way:

The Prophets (نَبِيِّين)
The [Incredibly] Truthful (صِدِيقِين)
The Martyrs (شُهَداء)
The Righteous (صَالِحين)

It is also mentioned in Hadith that ‘one of the best ways to die is martyrdom’.

My beautiful gem of a brother. My mothers heartbeat and a true diamond for all his loved ones. In his last month he spent a lot of time with family, his friends and left all of us with the most beautiful memories that we will cherish. We miss you so much but we also know this is Allah’s plan and He has given you the best status which means you are in the best place so we have to remind ourselves not to be selfish. I ask everyone to take a moment to do dua for Shahrose by reading Fatiha, Durood, Yaseen or anything at all for him so his ranks can be elevated even higher and his grave can become more filled with light.

I have started this page for the Sadakah Jariya for Shahrose. Sadaqah in Arabic means ‘charity’ followed by Jariyah which means ‘ongoing’.

Everything raised can be used for projects such as building water wells in areas that need it, donating to orphanages, helping children to become hafidh of the Holy Qu’ran and other forms that will count as an ongoing charity for him. Everything will be tracked and the progress of the donations will be put onto an Instagram page which I will add here once we reach the target. Even a £1 in his name will help him so whatever is within your capacity please do donate.

When a person dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him.” (Sahih Muslim)

I pray to Allah that through Allah we are able to continue to grant you this ongoing charity so that you may receive it as gifts in your grave and it can elevate your status higher to the highest ranks of heaven my sweet brother. I really miss your smile and I pray Allah reunites us with you through making us steadfast and firm upon our faith.
Keep us all in your prayers as his 30th birthday (23/07/2022) just passed which was difficult within itself but not a day goes by that our hearts don’t ache for Shahrose.

However, a reminder to myself first:
Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon Him) said: “If Allah wants to do good to somebody, He afflicts him with trials” (Sahih Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 70, Number 548).

Death is not the biggest disaster in life. The biggest disaster in life is when our fear of Allah dies when we are still alive. Ya Rabb take us back when we are on the right path and firm upon our deen and grant Shahrose a grave filled with light, as open as the ocean and peace until You allow us to reunite again. Ameen Thum Ameen.

Thank you for taking time to read about my beautiful brother I humbly request that you share this page with others and donate, do dua or whatever is within your capacity for the sake of Shahrose.
