As salamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

Ina lilahi wa ina ilayhi raji’on - To Allah we belong and to him we shall return.

Our beloved son and brother Keyse Abdifatah has returned to his lord on the 26th of April 2020.

Our dear brothers and sisters, our beloved brother recently got killed. Keyse was a kind hearted, loved young 18 year old boy who had his whole life ahead of him. Keyse’s hopes and dreams were shattered on the 26th of April 2020 on the blessed month of Ramadan. I’m sure you can understand the pain, hurt and trauma his family is going through. His life was taken so suddenly and so shockingly as he was stabbed to death in Kannelmäki, Helsinki. He will truly be missed by his friends, family and the whole community. We pray for the family and grant them patience during this tragic time.

Masjid As-Salaam Islamic Center have set up this account to build a well under Keyse’s name and continue rewards for him and allow this sadaqah to grow. By the will of Allah we hope to raise funds to build a well in a village where his family are from in his name. Also donating some money for orphans so that it may be a source of charity & reward on his behalf.

We are asking you as our honourable brothers and sisters to help us raise money for our brother Keyse Abdifatah (May he be among those in the highest rank of paradise).

For each drop of thirst that is quenched by any given person to something as small as a fly or leaf. The most merciful, most giving will increase that abundance and the rahma (mercy) you showed to your brother in Islam.  Alhamduliah we are all alive to reap the benefits of our kind efforts of charity.

It’s hard enough losing him, but to know that we did not do anything to help our brother would be far greater pain to endure.

We have one final request, is that you make Dua for our brother as he is no longer here with us, please also share this with your friends and family and help us achieve our goal. May Allah reward you all immensely, Allahumma ameen. And may be make you and your family those who reunite in paradise.

Abu Qatadah reported that the Messenger, sallallahu alayhiwasallam, said:

The best that a man can leave behind after his death are three things:
1. A righteous child who makes du'a for him,
2. An ongoing sadaqah whose rewards continue to reach him,
3. Knowledge that continues to be implemented after him.
Ibn Majah, Verified to be sahih by Al-Mundhiri and Al-Albani

Abu Huraira (Radhi-Allahu ‘anhu) reported:
Allah’s Messenger (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying:

Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).

A verse in the Quran: They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend [in charity]. Say, “Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveller. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.”’ Al Baqarah: 215

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Myself and the caretaker of an orphan will be in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together.
