Medical Clinic for Congo Orphans

Sabuli Sanguma is a special woman. She and her husband, Mossai, ended up separated from their children for several years during Congo's long civil war over a ten year period starting in the early 1990′s. When Sabuli had the opportunity to see her children again she was impacted by how God through complete strangers had provided for them and parented them in her absence. It made such an impression that upon returning to the Congo she was compelled to care for those in her neighborhood. What started as a neighborhood project, is now focused on kids in the entire Ubangi region who have no family support and who end up living on the street. AIDS, war, and poverty--according to the IMF Congo is the world's poorest country-- has caused thousands of children to be without parents and with no access to basic needs like healthcare. Today the Children's Center Sabuli completed in 2013 is home to more than 100 children. Lives are being saved and transformed through loving care, nutritious meals, basic education, and valuable vocational training but the closest medical center is a 3 hour walk away. After having a child nearly die in her arms on the long walk, Sabuli has decided to build a basic medical center next to her Children's Center. The clinic will help care for the children and surrounding community.  Plans have been drawn, the children have even made hundreds of bricks--but they need your help to pay for the construction and medical equipment.
