My Mother is Sabine Daube for those of you who know her then you will begin by understanding this is not something she would ever ask for. She is a very resilient and strong women who gives more than she has and never asks for anything in return. That is why I am asking for your help.
My mother Sabine is strong, kind, beautiful inside and out, and hands down the storngest person I know, she is a bright light in this world we live in. She has spent her life fighting for everything she has and rarely gets moments of peace. She has been a single mother of 3 for 12 yrs now and has managed to put myself and my sister through college and now my brother is on his way. She is a hairstylist by career terms but she is a superwomen in all other aspects.
Sadly, my mother is no longer the strong women physically that she believes to be. Her heart has been suffering from Atrial-Fibrillation in the left ventricle and had a minor tear for the last year and a half. She has been on medication for a year now and within the last 4 months she has had shock therapy performed on her heart (unsuccessful) with the hope of reseting the heart, recenty she had an Ablation (burning method) procedure performed under anasthesia which took 6 hours with a normal expectancy of 2-4 hrs, during the procedure her heart stopped and she was brought back (they were able to fix the tear but the procedure was unsuccessful).
Her first followup after the procedure her surgeon did not even enter the room to speak with her, instead she sent the nurse to see my mother. Two days prior to her followup my mom was in tears in fear because she coud not breathe and had severe pressure in her chest (categorized as normal, but the severe A-fib lasted 48hrs which was very straining on her heart ). Now her doctor is considering performing yet again shock therapy, but wasn't certain if it woud work. Medications have been altered 3x without any sign of improvment.
My mom is going through her low-income insurance and it seems to be a large factor in the level of care she is getting. I want to get the proper care that my mother deserves but it is out of our financial capabilities. I want her to get healthy and finally be able to live the life she so desparatly deserves!!
She hasn't had it easy and I am asking for help in any way possible to get my mom living a full and healthy life. She is all I have, as many of you may know. Selfishly for me and my siblings We still need our beautiful mother.
