Rebuild our home
Our dear friends Robert and Julie Cumming have had some terrible luck over the last couple of days.
Whilst out collecting essential supplies for their elderly parents their home was destroyed by a fire.
Julie and Robert are both pillars of the community and both are key workers, Robert working in refuse collection and Julie working in the care
industry, their home is totally destroyed and will need to be gutted and everything replaced.
We are calling on everyone who is able to contribute in some way toward putting their house in order. Life is already difficult given the pandemic and both Robert and Julie working on the front line.
About Robert and Julie
Julie has worked in care homes for over 30 years, currently looking after elderly patients with dementia and now Covid19. Robert served in the Royal Scots serving in Northern Ireland and the Gulf war and with Scotwaste until now.
Both their workplaces have given them the next 2 weeks off to try and sort things out, it would be fantastic if we could all help get them back into
their house by the time they return to work.
Its difficult enough doing very stressful and vulnerable front line jobs but not having a home to go to will only make their jobs harder.
We are appealing to everyone to donate as much as they can to help two very kind and compassionate people currently in need of our help.
