On July 14th, 2020, Brittany Follis (now Freeman) was diagnosed with Stage IIIB Inflammatory Breast Cancer following a breast biopsy. Brittany is 30 years old at the time of diagnosis.
Inflammatory breast cancer is a highly aggressive form of cancer, with the treatment including equally aggressive chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and other cancer treatments.
This incredibly tragic event has struck a young woman with a young son, immediately before her wedding on July 18th. The treatment will come with many challenges to be overcome.
But we are up for the challenge.
The family and friends of Brittany are devoted to her treatment to help her overcome this disease. We are banding together to help her in all forms, logistically, emotionally, spiritually and physically. We will continue to aid her in each step of the way in her treatment.
Cancer treatment comes with its own difficulties, especially with the unique struggles of healthcare in America. Treatment alone can come at significant cost for any individual, let alone a young woman with a new family. This is further complicated by the need to help with the cost of meals, childcare, transportation and other incidental costs that are often not considered when faced with the diagnosis of cancer.
As the family and friends of Brittany and her family, we are dedicated to banding together collectively to help her with these costs. Any help you can provide is very welcome as another ally in our support for a woman and her family to overcome this challenge.
