Hello, my name is Tarah. I live with my beautiful son Daniel in Michigan and have spent my life struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder. This has made life less than worth living and extremely difficult to work. My life truly fell to pieces when I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both hips, my lower cervical spine, and in my right shoulder. For this reason and my worsening mental health conditions (PTSD, Bipolar 2, OCD, depression, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, and anxiety) I was forced to quit working permanently and apply for disability in 2018.
Since then, I've been denied four times and I am currently in appeals, which my lawyer said could take up to a year. To further complicate our situation, my son was diagnosed this year with Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar 1, OCD, depression, and anxiety. We are currently trying to get disability for him as well. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, my son was forced to quit his job because the working conditions were unsafe and his mental health was so unstable he was forced to go the mental hospital. Since then he has been denied unemployment multiple times. We are appealing the case with a lawyer.
Until either of these situations come to fruition, we are unable to meet the demands of everyday living. We are fighting to stay alive. We are trying to believe that life is worth living. So it is with a heavy and gracious heart that we reach out to the world for your support in these times of trial. This money would go to pay rent, utilities, phone, and non-food grocery items. This would mean the world to us and we would be forever grateful for the restoration of human kindness.
