Lip Sync for Literacy

Donation protected
On January 2018, the women of the Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority at Drexel University will be hosting our philanthropic event, Lip Sync for Literacy. This event will consist of a school-wide competition in which teams will compete in a lip syncing contest, similar to that of Jimmy Fallon and Spike's hit show, Lip Sync Battle.

“All proceeds will be donated to the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation, which partners with the Kids In Need Foundation to empower students to graduate high school and seek secondary education.”

Currently, 1.2 million students drop out of high school each year in America. These students are eight times more likely to go to prison, 50% less likely to vote, more likely to need welfare, less qualified than 90% of the job market, and make 40 cents to the dollar of a college graduate. In comparison to other developed countries, America is ranked 20th in graduation rates. However, Phi Sigma Sigma aims to create the change needed to empower students to graduate by providing the necessary tools and guidance they seek.

Last year, our Chapter raised over $5,000 for this cause and this year we hope to double that amount and raise $10,000

We hope that you will consider a contribution to our non-profit organization. Recognition of event sponsors and generous donors will be acknowledged on promotional material and announced at the event.

We hope that you will want to support us in this endeavor and we thank you for your consideration!

Sincerely,
The Sisters of Phi Sigma Sigma Beta Rho Chapter
