I am reaching out to you today because Thursday night Boston was hit by a car on Eastern Ave in Brewer. The car drove off leaving him on the side of the road bleeding and in critical condition with severe injuries!
I have decided to start a Go Fund Me page because John and I have both been asked numerous times by friends and family if there was anything they could do or if we we're going to do a fundraiser. Boston is a pit mix and just a year and half old. He is the most loving and playful dog with a lot of life left.
The last three days Boston has gone back and forth between the Brewer Emergency Vet and Brewer Veterinary Clinic. We have since found out he suffered a great impact! He has internal bleeding, air in his lungs, a hernia and a broken pelvis. So far the bill is already over $3000 between xrays, ultrasounds, iv and pain meds, treatment and care. Tomorrow morning he will be going to a specialist in Scarborough for surgery and will be there at least a couple days. He may need two surgeries depending on the outcome. Overall we are looking at over $10,000!
