Hello,
We as a family would like to THANK EVERYONE for all the continued prayers and support during these tough times. We have made a decision as a family to move forward and tell the world Patrick’s story and start a go-fund me for Patrick Rafeedie. Our objective is to raise enough money for medical cost, the cost of continued care after hospitalization, and living expenses after rehabilitation. We would like thank everyone in advance, and we understand completely that money can be tight and not everyone will be able to contribute. We thank you all anyway, because continuing the Power of Prayer is more than we could ask for. Thank you everyone.
Patrick Rafeedie is 20 years old. He is a follower of Christ. He is an amazing son, beloved brother, the protective uncle and the “show up for you through anything” friend. He is currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University where he is majoring in business. He has completed two years of college and is half way to obtaining his degree. Patrick has just recently moved into a house with four of his best friends he has grown up with all of his life. Patrick Rafeedie is a hard worker and a dedicated individual in anything he does. He has been in sports since he could walk; his favorite of them all is football. Working and spending time with family and friends is what he enjoyed most. Unfortunately on July 14, 2017, Patrick was heading to work on his motorcycle when a truck pulled out in front of him and his body took the complete impact. He was life flighted to the North Oaks Trauma Unit in Hammond, Louisiana that morning. He sustained major injuries, which has left him in critical condition. He has been on life support for 2 weeks. On July 27, 2017 the family received the police report; unfortunately the other driver (who was at fault) did not have insurance. The cold truth about this type of tragedy is that life doesn’t stop just because accidents happen. Patrick’s bills will still have to be paid, medical bills will pile up, family members will have to miss work, and life will seem unfair at times. Patrick also lost his older brother in 2009 in a car accident, so this is an extremely hard time for family and close friends. We are just grateful and thankful to God he is alive. This is the heartfelt truth. So we the family come to Facebook friends and families across the world asking for your help. Even if it’s only a dollar, anything is greatly appreciated. Right now our target is $50,000.00 thinking that may give him a start toward a better future. Remember we are just so thankful to God that he is with us and we ask that you continue to pray towards his recovery, just keeping the faith. Patrick is a warrior and is continuing to fight for his own life every day. We believe in miracles. So once again THANK YOU EVERYONE. WE WILL CONTINUE TO #PRAYFORPATRICK.

WITH LOVE,
PATRICKS FAMILY
