Rylynn VanDyke
Rylynn was born on Tuesday October 13th. In her first 12 hours of life the doctors noticed she wasn’t able to hold anything down and her body wasn’t getting rid of waste. After blood work and X-rays it was determined she had a blockage. She was put on an IV in hopes it would resolve itself. After more then 24 hours and no resolution she was transferred to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital for further treatment. Biopsys have confirmed Rylynn has Hirschsprung’s disease. This is a birth defect in which nerves are missing from parts of the intestine. Baby Rylynn is scheduled for surgery tomorrow afternoon. Mamas Cassy and Julie are anxiously waiting on more information. What we do know is there will be a recovery period and bills don’t take a break. We are asking for donations to help cover bills, lost wages, and living expenses as they just want to focus on getting Rylynn happy, healthy, and home.
