Daoist Sanctuary & Retreat Center

We are currently raising funds for the first phase of our development plan for our new Daoist sanctuary and retreat center. This will be one of the few Daoist sacred sites and place-specific Daoist communities outside of the Chinese cultural sphere. Rooted in our commitment to foster global Daoism, the retreat center will incorporate traditional Daoist aesthetics in concert with a bioregional sensibility, including place-appropriate contemplative design and local materials. This project is being undertaken in collaboration with Stone Bowl Farm (West Pawlet, Vermont) and will involve expanding and making improvements to existing infrastructure for hosting residential retreats.

The Daoist Foundation (www.daoistfoundation.org) is a US-based educational and religious organization dedicated to fostering authentic Daoist study and practice and to preserving and transmitting traditional Daoist culture.
