Who is Ryan Grybas?
Ryan is a 31-year-old husband, daddy to be, and caulker. He is a fun, loving person with a great sense of humor. Ryan is the type of person whose smile brightens the room. He would do anything for anyone.
What is his story?
On Labor Day 2017, our lives changed completely when Ryan was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. He underwent 6 rounds of intense chemotherapy, which required him to be in the hospital for a minimum of 5 days each time. We found out after the first 6 rounds that the cancer was not completely gone. The next step was 2 more rounds of chemotherapy in hopes of being cancer free and then having a stem cell transplant. Again, some of the cancer remained and he could not move forward with the stem cell transplant. In the next few weeks, Ryan will be receiving a new treatment called CAR T-Cell Therapy.
What is the money for?
Since being diagnosed, Ryan has been unable to work. We have been very fortunate to have our family’s support, both emotionally and financially, throughout this past year. As we move forward with this new treatment plan and as we prepare to welcome our first child, a daughter, in November, we are looking to our friends and family for support.
