Ryan Storrie Memorial Fund

We’re a group of friends raising money in memory of Ryan Storrie to help support his wife Hilary and two children Aaron and Andrew to rebuild their life here in Scotland after Ryan’s tragic death.

Born and raised in Ayrshire, Ryan Storrie was a loving family man who worked hard to provide a good life for his family. He worked in Dubai and his family moved with him to spend as much time as possible together as a unit.

A loyal Rangers fan, Ryan and his family flew back to Scotland to celebrate his 40th birthday and watch the Rangers v Bayer Leverkusen Europa League match in March.  He loved football and travelled to support his team whenever he could. When it came time to fly back to Dubai, the family were unable to return and had to stay in Scotland due to flight restrictions in place because of Covid-19. 

With no family home in Scotland, the family rentedan apartment in Glasgow to stay in until they could travel back to Dubai. Ryan sadly passed away in the apartment on Tuesday 31st March from Covid-19.

The family home and all of their belongings are in Dubai. It will be very difficult to obtain any of these back and would cost more than the family have. This leaves Hilary, Aaron, and Andrew with no home and no possessions, faced with the stark reality of building a new life again in Scotland without Ryan, and the massive costs this will bring. 

Please help us to support this loving family to come to terms with their shocking loss and rebuild their life here in Scotland from scratch. Communities come together to support their members in their time of need and share the burden.
