Ryan Peters Family Fundraiser

Ryan is a member of the Air National Guard and an Engineer at Innio.  His wife Jodi is a stay at home mother with four beautiful children.  Ryan was scheduled to retire this month after twenty-one years of service as a Boom Operator in the National Guard.  Their lives were changed dramatically when Ryan started having seizures in their home and was rushed to the emergency room.  After a multitude of tests and monitoring, they determined that Ryan contracted Jamestown Canyon Virus from an infected mosquito bite.  This virus caused severe swelling and damage to his brain which prevents him from returning to work.

Ryan is unable to remember the names of some of his closest friends, has a hard time reading short paragraphs, and has trouble doing many things that were routine before the brain damage.  The doctors are unsure if his brain will ever fully heal and that it is too early to tell if he will ever fully recover.

His wife Jodi is unable to return to work (Dental Hygienist) due to the fact that Ryan requires 24-hour care along with caring for their four children.  They do not have long-term disability care which means that the family will have no income to support his medical care as well as basic family necessities.

We are starting this campaign to try to provide some support for the family and to help reduce some of the financial burdens they are going to encounter.  We are hoping you can find it in your hearts to pray for the family and for Ryan's healing.  You can also provide support by donating to this cause and help the family get through this traumatic life event.
