Ryan Gile Memorial Fund

Donation protected
My baby brother, Ryan James Gile, died on November 3, 2020. His death was the result of a car accident in Madras, OR while he was driving to a job site for work after another car attempted to pass a travel trailer and struck Ryan’s vehicle head-on. Ryan was wearing his seatbelt but sustained injuries that caused him to go into cardiac arrest. He was 26 years old and had so much life left ahead of him. He was planning to get married to his love, Caitie, in December and looked forward to starting a family of his own. He would have been an incredible dad, as he was a loving uncle to his three nieces and one nephew, and already had the names picked out for his future kids. He was the type of uncle that would get down on the floor to play and just be a kid. He had a smile that went from ear to ear and gave some of the best hugs around - he'd squeeze you so tight and didn't let go too quickly. Ryan lived life to the fullest. He loved his family and friends intensely and would have done anything for them, even if it meant putting himself in harm's way. He loved the simple things - candy, pie, and root beer floats, the Seahawks and Yankees, shoes (he always had to show off his newest kicks), and working out (he was pretty proud of his muscles and never missed a chance to flex).

Ryan will be remembered for his generous heart. Even though he never had much himself, he gave what little he had freely to others. He often gave his last dollar to a homeless person, knowing what it meant to be homeless himself. He battled addiction for many of his teen and young adult years and was proud to have helped many of his friends get clean. I've set up this memorial fund in his name with the goal to help other young people on their path to recovery. You can donate to this fund and contribute to Ryan’s legacy, as it would have meant a great deal to him to be able to help others.
