Today the world has lost a great man, a devoted husband, an amazing father, a beloved son and sibling, a dedicated fraternity brother....and heaven has gained an incredible angel. It is with infinitely heavy heart that we learned today of the passing of Ryan Fecho. He was only 35 years old, but leaves behind an amazing legacy that anyone of us would be proud to call our own.
Anyone who spent 5 minutes around Ryan would get an immediate sense of his unwavering devotion to his wife, kids and family, his genuinely positive outlook on life, his incredible work ethic, as well as, his love for Michigan sports. :-)
I personally had the additional privilege of calling him my fraternity brother and as I type this message, I can say without hesitation that he would be doing the same for me if the situation was reversed.
In an effort to support his wife (Kendra) and (3) beautiful daughters (Olivia, Isabelle, & Evelyn), we have setup this page as just one avenue to offer up assistance to the family in this great time of need. I think we can all agree that hugs, kisses, prayers, and food are all perfectly acceptable ways to show support, but the ability to grieve without the additional worry of financial impact certainly goes a long way also.
The purpose of this page is to help collect funds that will go to support Kendra and their daughters with any immediate needs such as funeral costs and house bills (maybe an extra Christmas present or two), as well as, long term needs like 529 college fund contributions for each of the girls. We know that nothing would make Ryan more proud than to have each one of his girls walk across a stage and accept a diploma, just as he and Kendra have before.
