Colleen and Ryan had visions of what their life would look like. They had their fairytale wedding followed by an amazing honeymoon. Their life was just starting with lots of visions of growing old together. Colleen and Ryan dreamt of watching their daughter, Brooke, hit all her milestones of life, crawling, walking, her first soccer goal, seeing her off to prom, walking daddy's little girl down the aisle at her wedding and raising children of her own. Unfortunately, for Colleen, she will be tasked with doing this alone.
Just 16 days after Colleen and Ryan married and two days after returning from their honeymoon Ryan died unexpectedly. Ryan and Colleen spent years together and finally decided to seal their love with marriage. Ryan's love for Colleen was true and and only grew stronger when their daughter, Brooke was born. At just 7 months old, Brooke knew the love her daddy had to offer. As an uncle, Ryan would take the kids into the woods and create things. He and the kids would build bridges and hideaways, Ryan could not wait to teach his own daughter the same things he had taught his nieces and nephews.
Colleen and Brooke's lives have just been flipped. Every part of their day is now lacking one important piece. Colleen is longing for answers and now has the responsibility of paying funeral expenses for the love of her life. She is now the sole financial contributor to their household and raising a 7 month old alone. We are trying to help financially so Colleen can take the time she needs to grieve without also being concerned about having a place to live or putting food on the stove.
We hope, by starting this fund, to help cover funeral costs and any other financial challenges Colleen may face. We know Ryan and Colleen have touched so many lives, we hope we can help them in their time of need.
