My father is suffering  from from a severly rare kidney diease called alport syndrome that has ended his kidney function. My father is the fourth in his family that has actually needed a transplant. We are looking for funding in order to give to whatever family does donate a kidney, as the usual recovery time is 2-6 weeks. The money would  help with any unexpected expenses.  We'll find a donor soon. My father happens to have O+ blood, with the transplant coordinator being at the University of Michigan.
