I was so excited when I was accepted into the PhD program at the International Christian University in Tokyo.
However, covering the cost of postgraduate study is currently my biggest challenge, especially during this time of uncertainty.
I began in September and I need this money to cover the tuition fees of the first year which is around Euro 4,300.
As far as the topic of my research, I'm looking into the Belt and Road Initiative, an ambitious programme launch by China to connect Asia with Africa and Europe via land and maritime networks. Understanding the impact that this development program will have on communities and the environment is one of the most important thing governments will have to handle in the near future.
