BRING BRENDA HOME
Donation protected
Brenda Waldecker is age 45 she is the husband of Jon Waldecker and mother of 3 adopted boys (brothers). If you know Brenda personally you know she is the kindest person with such a caring heart. Unfortunately Brenda has juvenile polyposis in which her stomach and parts of her intestines was taken out in order to survive. Then last year she started getting a surgical hernia that was causing chronic pain and the hernia was getting bigger. She was doing fairly well for a time but this condition can cause malnutrition and She required TPN through a pick line to bring her levels up to be able to have surgrey. Unfortunately, her pick line got infected she ended up in septic shock (bacteria spreading to her organs) and she has been in the ICU fighting for her life. The bacteria reached her heart (endocarditis). She has been in the ICU for over 3 weeks, fighting to survive on the strongest antibiotics medically available. In order for any chance of healing she is in need of heart surgery. She was taken to Cleveland Clinics as they offer a type of surgery that Beaumont didn't.
Unfortunately the infection grew worse, bacteria from the heart entered her brain causing strokes and also shutting down her body further. Brenda is too weak to have the surgery on her heart which potentially would have saved her life. Right now her husband Jon & family just want to get her back to Michigan while on a ventilator , the immediate expense of this is $6,200. Jon & family have been taxed financially due to the critical state she has been in and prolonged intensive care hospital stay. We are raising money to Bring Brenda back to Michigan and get her back to Royal Oak Beaumont. The plan is to take her off Ventilator and go to hospice surrounded by her family. There is a hope she might be able to do home hospice.
Please pray for Brenda for her final days here on earth are peaceful. Any donation will help.
