Kristina’s Hospital Bills

Hey everyone,

We are putting together a fundraiser to help take care of our sweet friend Kristina. Last Tuesday she experienced stroke like symptoms and was taken to the hospital to confirm that she had experienced a series of strokes. They quickly admitted her to Renown Hospital for further testing and supervision. Her team of doctors ran several tests and could not agree upon the root cause of these strokes. Meanwhile, Kristina has been staying at Renown hopefully waiting for answers to why she keeps experiencing these awful symptoms. The doctors have been able to test for and find a rare form of meningitis that essentially causes the vessels in her brain to swell and trigger these strokes. She’s now been on hefty steroids for the next couple months and anti-viral infusions every 8 hours and continues to require these infusions for the next 3 weeks. Fortunately, she’s going to be able to go home and receive these infusions from the comfort of her own bed. Unfortunately, Kristina does not have health insurance. The amount of bills she will be responsible for is unknown right now, but with several nights in a hospital and continued treatment, she’s probably looking at thousands at this point. We want to relieve this stress so that Kristina can make a full recovery as she has so many other things to worry about with her health and future. Even making a small dent in the burden she is carrying would bless her so much.
